Our Business Resource Groups
One way all employees can champion diversity and inclusion at Shire is through involvement in our Business Resource Groups (BRGs). BRGs create opportunities for employees with shared backgrounds, affinities, and life experiences — along with their supporting allies — to advance business goals and foster an inclusive work environment.
BRGs are a valued part of the Shire infrastructure and important to our company’s success. They contribute to building diverse and inspired teams by leading initiatives that help us attract, develop, and retain talent; enhance our decision-making processes; strengthen and shape our culture; and engage with the world around us through meaningful community outreach. BRGs can also help us drive for innovative solutions cultivated through insightful engagement with diverse patients, caregivers, and business partners.
Each of our BRGs is led by and supports a unique community of our employees: B-Equal (LGBT+), Black Leadership Council, Building Asian Leaders, Early Career Professionals, EnAbles (Disability and Caregivers), Impacto (Latino), VETS (Veterans and Military Families), and Women@Shire and affiliates (Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, GROW).
