Hi! I’m Mary,

I work for Shire Talent Acquisition, and I’m here to help you find a job you’ll love, in a place you want to work.

I have compiled a list of the most common questions. I hope this helps!

Thanks, have a great day – Mary.

Here are some common questions people are asking me:

Help! I need a job.
How can The Talent Community help me get a job?
I’ve never used The Talent Community before – how do I sign in?
Please contact me – I want an interview!
What other positions are available at Shire?
I’ve applied, what now?
I am still looking for a job – what can I do to help me get hired?
I’m looking for a job – and I don’t have any experience.
Thanks for the jobs, but the location was different to where I live and I can’t relocate or commute.

I want to help you find a job that you will love, in the location you want to work in. To make the process easier, you should update your Talent Profile in The Talent Community. Sign in to edit your information, search for jobs and take credentials — then look out for emails from me! How can The Talent Community help me get a job?

Once you have joined the Shire Talent Network by connecting with us on our career site, or by applying, you can sign into The Talent Community to keep our recruiters up-to-date with your latest career information. You can tell us where you would like to work, what career areas interest you most, and take credentials (online assessments) to help prove your capabilities to our recruiters.

I’ve never used The Talent Community before – how do I sign in?

If you’ve joined our Talent Network, but haven’t signed into The Talent Community yet, you can do so here: Forgot Password.

Please contact me – I want an interview!

Sorry, I’m not available by phone because I can reach and help more people online. I can help you more effectively by reviewing all open positions and sending you the ones that match your skill set and location. The best way to make yourself known to our recruiters is to apply (or join our Talent Network) and ensure your talent profile in The Talent Community is up-to-date.

What other positions are available at Shire?

To see all of our open positions, visit our career site: http://jobs.shire.com/job-search-results. Since you are now in our Talent Network, you will also be considered for future jobs as they become available. In the meantime, I will do my best to review all open positions and send you jobs that fit your skill set.

I’ve applied, what now?

That’s great! You should have received an email to confirm your application. Your application might take a few weeks to be processed. In the meantime, go to The Talent Community and ensure your Talent Profile is up-to-date for our recruiters to review. In The Talent Community, you can also take a credential (online assessment) to help prove your capabilities to our recruiters.

I am still looking for a job – what can I do to help me get hired?

Joining our Talent Network was a great first step! You can also visit our career site at http://jobs.shire.com/job-search-results to search and apply for jobs. In the meantime, I’ll keep looking for jobs that fit your skill set, so keep an eye out for emails from me. Remember, it’s easier for our recruiters to find you if your Talent Profile is up-to-date in The Talent Community.

I’m looking for a job – and I don’t have any experience.

That’s okay! We will look for nearby jobs. If you sign into The Talent Community, you can tell us your preferred work location and career interests. Remember, any work experience you’ve had is of interest to us — even if the job was part-time or voluntary.

Thanks for the jobs, but the location was different to where I live and I can’t relocate or commute.

I do apologize for this – I really want to find a job for you in your preferred location. You can specify exactly where that is by updating your job search location in The Talent Community.
