Responsible for enhancing the professional development of 1st and 2nd line Sales Leaders (EXCEL & Catalyst programs), the professional development of key field-sales individual contributors (FLEX program) and on-boarding new Marketers (Marketing Academy). 

Conducts needs assessments, designs, develops, delivers and evaluates live, virtual, and LMS based development initiatives for the purpose of leadership development. Consults with key business functions and stakeholders to ensue ongoing initiatives meet/exceed stakeholder needs. Fosters and drives professional knowledge and skill development to support multiple, diverse business functions.  Collaborates cross-franchise & cross-functionally with business leaders in various locations within the United States. Some overnight travel is required.

Leads in the execution and assists in the design of leadership development programs for new, and experienced leaders within U.S. Commercial business franchises and functional areas Leads execution, follow-up, and effectiveness measurement of leadership development training initiatives Partners with multiple stakeholders to ensure delivery of valued solutions based on functional leadership needs Recommends and manages external vendors to bring high quality services within the set budget Provides insight and feedback in pursuing strategic vision while implementing tactics to enhance value. Shares expertise and provides guidance to other Learning and Development team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives Applies principles of adult learning to ensure training effectiveness, while proactively identifying and accessing resources to keep up-to-date on industry best practices Manages project plans, communication, and sustainability processes to support initiatives designed to enhance leadership skills of individuals and functional teams

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Pharma/Biotech industry work experience of 8+ years with demonstrated success, preferably including two or more of the following Commercial functions:  Sales, Marketing, Learning & Development, Market Access or Patient Services
  • Successful direct management experience in a Commercial function (see above) leading a team with demonstrated success is preferred
  • Prior sales leadership experience is required
